1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Repairers Hub platform — including the website, web application, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including members of the public ("Customers"), registered repair shop owners ("Shop Owners"), and repair shop staff members ("Staff").

By using this Platform you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Description of Service

Repairers Hub is a technology platform that connects device owners ("Customers") with registered device repair businesses ("Repair Shops"). The Platform facilitates:

  • Submission and management of repair service requests;
  • Real-time repair progress tracking via unique invoice numbers;
  • Location-based matching between customers and nearby repair shops;
  • Digital device intake, collection confirmation, and signature capture;
  • Repair shop management tools including staff management, payment tracking, and QR code generation;
  • Customer feedback and service rating functionality.

Repairers Hub is a marketplace and management platform only. We do not ourselves perform any repair services. We do not guarantee the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any repairs carried out by Repair Shops registered on the Platform.

3. Accounts & Registration

3.1 Shop Owner Accounts

To register a repair shop on the Platform, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information including your legal name, contact details, and business information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3.2 Staff Accounts

Staff accounts are created by Shop Owners. Staff members must activate their account via email confirmation before accessing the Platform. Staff are bound by these Terms and by the instructions of their Shop Owner.

3.3 Account Security

You must notify us immediately at support@repairershub.co.za if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe have been compromised.

3.4 Accurate Information

You agree not to create an account using a false identity or provide inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent information. Accounts found to be fraudulent will be terminated immediately.

4. Customer Obligations

As a Customer using the Platform to submit service requests or track repairs, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate contact information (name, contact number, email where applicable);
  • Provide an honest and accurate description of your device and the issue;
  • Set a realistic and genuine budget for the repair service;
  • Only submit service requests for devices you own or have authority to have repaired;
  • Honour pickup or drop-off arrangements you agree to with Repair Shops;
  • Not submit duplicate, spam, or fraudulent service requests;
  • Comply with the individual Repair Shop's return policy, which will be displayed to you at the time of device collection.

5. Repair Shop Obligations

By registering a Repair Shop on the Platform, the Shop Owner agrees to:

  • Provide accurate business information, including legal business name, physical address, contact details, and company registration number where applicable;
  • Only accept service requests they are genuinely able to fulfil;
  • Contact customers promptly upon accepting a service request;
  • Maintain a current and honest return policy in their store settings;
  • Ensure that all Staff members operate in compliance with these Terms;
  • Not misuse customer personal information collected through the Platform;
  • Maintain accurate repair records and payment information in the Platform;
  • Set their store's geographic coordinates accurately so customers are matched correctly;
  • Comply with all applicable South African laws, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and POPIA.

Repairers Hub reserves the right to suspend or remove any Repair Shop that fails to meet these obligations or receives consistently poor customer reviews.

6. Service Requests & Leads

6.1 How Requests Work

When a Customer submits a service request, the Platform uses the Customer's geographic location (if provided) to identify Repair Shops within a defined radius. An email notification is sent to each qualifying shop. The first shop to accept the request claims it.

6.2 No Guarantee of Acceptance

Repairers Hub does not guarantee that a submitted service request will be accepted by any Repair Shop. The availability of shops, their service radius, and capacity may vary.

6.3 Lead Accuracy

Customers are responsible for the accuracy of the information submitted in service requests. Submitting false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in being blocked from the Platform.

6.4 No Contract with Repairers Hub

Acceptance of a service request by a Repair Shop forms an agreement directly between the Customer and the Repair Shop. Repairers Hub is not a party to that agreement and accepts no liability for its performance.

7. Payments & Fees

7.1 Platform Access

Registration and basic use of the Platform by Repair Shops is currently provided free of charge. Repairers Hub reserves the right to introduce subscription fees or transaction fees in the future, with reasonable advance notice.

7.2 Repair Payments

All repair payments are made directly between the Customer and the Repair Shop. Repairers Hub does not process, hold, or facilitate financial transactions between Customers and Repair Shops. The Platform's payment tracking features are management tools only.

7.3 Disputes

Any payment dispute arising from a repair engagement must be resolved directly between the Customer and the Repair Shop. Repairers Hub may, at its discretion, assist in mediation but is under no obligation to do so.

8. Content & Intellectual Property

8.1 Platform Content

All content on the Platform — including software, design, logos, text, and documentation — is owned by or licensed to McSbuSing (Pty) Ltd and is protected by South African and international intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

8.2 User-Submitted Content

By submitting content to the Platform (including repair descriptions, return policies, ratings, and comments), you grant Repairers Hub a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display that content for the purpose of operating the Platform.

8.3 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to us may be used by Repairers Hub without restriction or compensation to you.

  • Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Platform;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure or security;
  • Use the Platform to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited communications;
  • Impersonate any person or entity;
  • Use another person's personal information without their consent;
  • Manipulate customer reviews or ratings;
  • Reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the Platform's software.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses;

  • Service requests will result in a repair or an accepted quote;
  • Repair tracking information will be accurate at all times (it depends on timely updates by the Repair Shop).

  • Any act or omission of any Repair Shop, including negligent, fraudulent, or criminal conduct;
  • Any transaction or agreement made between a Customer and a Repair Shop.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us (if any) in the three months preceding the claim.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 10, 11, 12, and 14) will continue to apply.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to mediation under the rules of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA), failing which it may be referred to the High Court of South Africa having jurisdiction.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify registered Shop Owners by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
